John Erickson

Edinburgh USA's golf Shop Operations Manager has been on the job since the course opened in 1987. He started in the golf business as a Junior High student with two years at Detroit Country Club in Detroit Lakes. He worked the next eight years at Alexandria Gofl Club in all aspects of the operation including some in the food and beverage area.

After entering military service he played on the Training Squadron Ten golf team at Naval Flight School in Pensacola, Florida. Later, while on active duty, he worked part-time in the golf shop at the Naval Air Station Oceana Course in Virginia Beach. Following that, he played for three years as an Associate Member of the Newport Country Club in Rhode Island. He has been very fortunate to play across the U.S. and Around the world at diverse courses such as Glyfada in Athens, Rungsted in Copenhagen, Monte Carlo Golf Club in Monaco, Dorado Beach in San Juan, The Jockey Club in Saigon, among others. While stationed in Scotland for 2 1/2 years he had the immense pleasure of playing most all of the famous courses several times plus many of the others on an almost daily basis. His home course at Holy Loch was the nearby Cowal Club in Dunoon.
